The BigFix software is only licensed for University owned and supported computers by Santa Clara University. The software should not be installed on personally-owned computers, student-owned computers or computers no longer supported by the University.

Microsoft Edge is Microsoft's web browser on Windows 10.
Mozilla Firefox ESR
Mozilla Firefox is Mozilla's web browser. Academic Technology recommends the 'ESR' version of Firefox, which has a longer development cycle than the 'standard' Firefox.
Qualtrics
SCU has a site license for student, faculty, and staff access to Qualtrics, a comprehensive online survey tool. To enroll yourself, go to the Qualtrics tile in your MySCU Portal. Follow the prompts to setup up your account. If you already had a free Qualtrics account using your SCU email, say yes to merging the accounts together when prompted during the setup process. Qualtrics quesitons can be directed to technologytraining@scu.edu.
SmartPrint
SmartPrint is the Santa Clara University branded student print system. All SCU students are free to use SmartPrint, as well as, Staff and Faculty. Guests of the university may also use SmartPrint after they have created a guest printing account.
Sophos Central + Intercept X (University Owned Computers) and Sophos Home (Student / Faculty / Staff Personal Computers) (Anti-Virus)
Our endpoint protection suite (antivirus) is provided by Sophos, a world leader in virus protection software for businesses and educational institutions. We have purchased licenses to allow all CURRENT faculty, staff and students to protect their campus and home computers. Contractors and alumni are not included in our license.
Academic Technology manages the Sophos settings on University-owned computers. If you need Sophos Central + Intercept X installed on your University-owned computer, please contact the Technology Help Desk at x5700.
We recommend Sophos Home to protect your personally owned computer for all students, faculty and staff. Use your personal email address to download the free edition directly from Sophos. You have full control of the software and can set up your own scheduled scan once you install Sophos Home.

Sophos Silent Install
For University owned computers, supported software is available through a number of avenues. A number of the applications can be downloaded from either the web site, or directly from the application vendor's web site. Some may require a departmental purchase for software that is supported, but not provided.
